Kindness and Love, Day 4

Day 4 of wisdom sharing from a beautiful soul……….

Everything has an end. I imagine that for Jews living in the 1930’s and 40’s it felt like Europe would never be a safe place again.

That regime is over.

In 1792, the people of France got tired of the royals owning everything and they created the guillotine and today France is a much better place.

This country has had an aura around it that has been a bit mythical – as you refer to in your “white privilege” statement. The colonists destroyed huge tracts of nature. There is actually more wildlife and more trees in the northeast of this country than in 1900 when every man and boy shot every living thing.

Yes, we are seeing the effects of greed and selfishness and bigoted attitudes and lack of justice.

I don’t know when it will end, but I know it will.

Maybe it will get really fiercely bad before it gets better. Every tyrant under the sun in history has had his or her day and then it ended.

I don’t know what’s next, but everything passes. This too shall pass. The choices that are in our power seem small. But why not just keep making them as long as we can ?
