Anything is Possible
Einstein said something like ‘you can’t change anything with the same energy it took to create it.’ He also said something like ‘what got you here won’t get you there.’
I remember hearing that the story of Jesus turning the other cheek was not to let someone hit him on the other side of his face, but to look in a different direction and see something new. In learning to paddle white water we are trained to look towards where we want to go down river and not fixate on what we don’t want to hit. It’s called ‘object fixation.’ What we focus on is where we will go. I wanted to go downstream so I learned the hard way to focus where the water was flowing and, lo and behold, I never hit the boulder again.
Anything is possible. So much is changing and we are required to shed many trappings that held us to beliefs of security and safety. We do not control as much as we thought and we do not need as much as we believed.
I am beginning to dwell in possibilities and hope and turn away from fear. I believe Anything is Possible and am choosing to turn my gaze towards what could be.
I begin today.
